SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - Several units responded to a house fire along a Suffolk road Sunday morning.
Diana Klink with the City of Suffolk said firefighters were dispatched to the 1100 block of Lake Kennedy Drive around 11:30 a.m.
The fire was contained to the kitchen and was under control shortly after crews arrived on scene. Engines 2 and 3, Ladder 3, Rescue 1, Battalion 1 and Medic 1 all responded.
The home suffered moderate smoke damage but no one was hurt. A woman and three teenagers were able to make it out of the home after the smoke detector went off.
