SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - A bullet grazed an 18-year-old man's head early Sunday morning as he was getting out a car on Bradford Drive in Suffolk.
Police responded to the 6000 block of Bradford Drive in the College Park section of the city just before 2:30 a.m. for reports of a shooting.
Officers arrived to find an 18-year-old whose head was grazed by a bullet. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment of non life-threatening injuries, according to a police spokeswoman.
The victim told police he was getting out the rear passenger door of a vehicle he was riding in with three others, when a dark colored car, described as a two-door Honda or Acura, drove by slowly. As the car passed the victim heard a shot.
Police are asking anyone with information on the shooting to call the Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.
