Accidental fire causes $5K in damage

SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - A fire that started in a home's bathroom caused $5,000 in damage.

Suffolk fire crews were called to the home in the 100 block of Katherine Street Thursday at 3:25 p.m. The fire was quickly extinguished.

No one was hurt.

The Red Cross is helping two adults and a child who live in the home.

The fire was deemed accidental.
