ACCOMAC, Va. (WAVY) - A residential structure fire was reported at the intersection of Front Street and Back Street in Accomac Thursday evening.

According to dispatchers, the call came in at approximately 9:40 p.m.

State Police spokeswoman Sgt. Michelle Anaya confirmed the fire was ruled arson and she says it is consistent with the string of other arson cases in the County.

At 2:23 a.m. on Friday, firefighters were called back to the same residence that burned the night before.  Dispatchers told WAVY.com the fire was fully involved again. Crews cleared the scene a few hours later.

The residence was unoccupied, according to Sgt. Anaya.

State police and deputies will release new information about the string of Eastern Shore arson cases Friday afternoon.
