SMITHFIELD, Va. (WAVY) - Police have identified one of three suspects who fired 20 shots at a victim in the Jersey Park Apartments last February.

Sgt. Chris Meier with the Smithfield Police Department said officers responded to a call of multiple shots around 4 a.m. on February 28. Officers arrived to find three groups of bullet casings from three different handgun calibers, including .45, .40 and .380.

The victim told police he was at a party when a fight broke out. As the victim was leaving, three shooters opened fire on him. As he got into his vehicle and drove away, one of the bullets went through his back window and out his front, passenger-side window.

No one suffered injuries in the shootings. Meier said the shooters fired 20 rounds at the victim.

Police identified one of the shooters as Anthony Haywood. Police have warrants against him for attempted malicious wounding, shooting into an occupied dwelling, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and reckless handling of a firearm.

Police ask that anyone with information about the case or Haywood's whereabouts to call either the Smithfield PD at (757) 357-3247 or the Isle of Wight crime line at 1-888- LOCK-U-UP.
