VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) - Dominion Virginia Power crews have restored full power to the Lynnhaven Mall after a lightning strike hit a transformer Friday night.

Officials closed the mall around 1 p.m. Saturday when the damaged transformer caused a power outage, however, the following stores remained open:

  • Macy's
  • Dilliards
  • JC Penneys
  • Barnes and Noble
  • Dick's Sporting Goods
  • The AMC Movie Complex
  • UNOS Chicago Grill
  • Ruby Tuesday's
  • Cheeseburger in Paradise
  • Carrabas
  • Cracker Barrel

The mall then reopened Sunday at its normal time, said Dominion Virginia Power spokesman Frank Mack.
