PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) - A woman wanted for involuntary manslaughter in the death of her neighbor turned herself into police Tuesday and appeared in court Wednesday morning for a bond hearing.

Wendy Sue Sullivan, 47, surrendered to police in reference to an aggravated assault that took place in the 1600 block of City Park Avenue in January.

Sullivan appeared in court Wednesday for a bond hearing and was given $100,000 bond.

During court, Sullivan's attorney had to tell her to be quiet, and the judge threatened to put her in jail if she didn't stop talking.

Police said the victim, Pamela Abrahams, 49, and two of her neighbors were socializing on City Park Avenue when they became involved in a dispute.

At some point during the dispute, Abrahams fell to the ground and possibly hit her head on the sidewalk. She was taken to the hospital with a serious head injury. Abrahams died as a result of her injuries.

An indictment was returned February 3 charging Sullivan with involuntary manslaughter.
