PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) - Tom Schaad and Nicole Livas will be teaming up for more newscasts and evening anchor Anita Blanton has been moved to a weekday evening anchor position.
Schaad and Livas will now anchor together weekdays at 6 p.m. and 11 p.m. Blanton will join Stephanie Harris for the 5:30 p.m. weekday newscast.
A Virginia Beach native and graduate of George Mason University, Livas joined WAVY in 2001 from WJAR, an NBC affiliate in Providence, R.I. Schaad and Livas were already anchoring the 5 p.m. WAVY newscast and the 10 p.m. Fox 43 show.
Blanton joined WAVY in January 2013 from KOCO in Oklahoma City where she served as morning anchor. Blanton is a former Miss Hampton University and member of Delta Sigma Theta sorority.
