PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) - People looking out over the Elizabeth River may have to do a double take today.

The Staten Island Ferry is in Portsmouth undergoing routine maintenance, according to the New York Department of Transportation and Coast Guard officials.

A Report It viewer submitted photos to WAVY.com taken from the 17th floor of the Dominion Enterprises building in Norfolk.

In New York, the Staten Island Ferry provides a 25-minute ride by water from Lower Manhattan to Staten Island for no fee. For more information about the Ferry, follow this link.
