Shooting victim succumbs to injuries

PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) - One victim of a double shooting in Portsmouth has died and police are asking for help locating those responsible.

Det. Chris Durham with the Portsmouth Police Department said the shooting occurred in the 1300 block of Highland Avenue around 1 a.m. Sunday. Two men attending a party in a private home were found suffering from gunshot wounds.

One victim was treated and released while the other was transported to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with serious injuries. Monday afternoon, the victim, identified as Marquise Terry, 23, of the 1300 block of Highland Avenue, passed away from his injuries.

No arrests have been made and there is no suspect information at this time. Stay with WAVY.com for more on this developing story.
