PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) - Dozens of Hampton Roads residents are donating shoes to the Salvation Army's Shoe Tree.
The special tree is set up in the lobby of Portsmouth City Hall.
People donated new and gently used shoes for needy families at the Portsmouth Department of Parks, Recreation and Leisure Services.
"It's in our heart to make it worthwhile for them," said Tony Colden.
The shoes will be boxed up and sent to Salvation Army for distribution just in time for Christmas.
