Portsmouth home suffers smoke damage

PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) - No one was injured in a small house fire in Portsmouth Thursday morning.

Crews were dispatched to the 2400 block of Acorn Street for a report of a fire. When they arrived, they found a small fire in the back of the house, possibly in the kitchen, Chief Jim Hoffler with the Portsmouth Fire Department told WAVY.com.

The home suffered heavy smoke damage.
