PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) - Krispy Kreme is bringing its doughnuts to Portsmouth with a new shop opening on Victory Boulevard.
The company has hired 60 local residents for full and part-time work at the 2,000 square foot small factory shop, a news release from Krispy Kreme said.
The Krispy Kreme Portsmouth Neighborhood Shop will open at 6 a.m. on January 3.
Customers who get there early will have a chance to win prizes including free doughnuts and free t-shirts.
Shop hours will be Sunday through Saturday from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.
Krispy Kreme is headquartered in Winston-Salem, N.C. and was founded in 1937.
