WINDSOR, Va. (WAVY) - Police are investigating a string of eight to ten burglaries in the last three weeks in Windsor, Virginia.
At around 9:45 a.m. Tuesday morning on the 26,000 block of Pineview Lane, Isle of Wight County police said a young black male walked up to a house to try to enter. He had a shot gun, and was met at the door by the owner of the house, who also had a gun.
The suspect ran into the woods behind the house. Deputies in Suffolk and Southampton County attempted to find the suspect but couldn't. They are looking at the same suspects for a string of eight to ten burglaries that have taken place in the last three weeks. The burglaries are of people stealing jewelery, cameras, and other small handheld items.
