WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (WAVY) - The Peninsula Health District is on the lookout for a collie-like dog that bit a person.

According to a news release, the dog bit a person March 18 in the area of Jan Rae Circle in Williamsburg.

If the dog, described as mixed breed and collie-like, is not found, the victim will have to get rabies shots. The release emphasizes the dog, if found, will not be taken away from its owner. It will be placed on an in-home confinement of 10 days.

If you have seen this dog, contact the Peninsula Health District at 757-603-4277.
