WASHINGTON, D.C. (WAVY) - Norfolk State University and Hampton University have received multi-million dollar grants from the federal government.
According to the Department of Education, $227.9 million in grants were awarded to Historically Black Colleges and Universities in 19 states.
The 5-year grants are set to include curriculum reform, student service programs, renovations and staff development.
HU received $2,641,339 and NSU received $3,312,058.
