VDOT takes suggestions for bridge lifts

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - The Coast Guard and VDOT are taking suggestions on the bridge lift schedule at the Berkley Bridge.

Currently, the bridge routinely opens weekdays at 9 a.m., 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. The bridge does not open during the morning and evening rush.

The Virginia Department of Transportation says this schedule seems to be working best for drivers and boaters, but they are taking suggestions for bridge lift times here .
