NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - A Blair Middle School student was apprehended by the school's resource officer Friday morning after the seventh-grader reportedly showed off what appeared to be a gun.

School spokeswoman Elizabeth Mather told WAVY.com it turned out to be an unloaded BB gun.

Students who saw the BB gun immediately reported the incident. No one was hurt and the matter was resolved quickly, Mather said.
