NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - Norfolk Police are investigating a shooting in the 9500 block of Granby Street Thursday evening.

Chris Amos with the Norfolk Police Department said officers received a call for a gunshot victim in the hallway of an apartment complex around 8:30 p.m. Once on scene, they found a man with a gunshot wound.

Paramedics responded to the scene and the victim was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. His condition is unknown at this time.

Amos said the shooting was deemed an accident.
