NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - A pedestrian was transported to a hospital with life-threatening injuries after he was struck by a vehicle in Norfolk Monday.
The pedestrian is improving and is expected to survive, Chris Amos with the Norfolk Police Department said. The crash occurred in the 700 block of North Military Highway around 7:30 a.m.
A Mercury Mountaineer was traveling northbound on Military Highway when it struck the adult pedestrian as he was attempting to cross the street. The victim was transported to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.
The crash remains under investigation at this time.
