NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - Norfolk fire investigators say a house fire in the 5400 block of Silbert Road Sunday morning was intentionally set.
Fire crews were called to the vacant house around 2:47 a.m. Sunday. When crews arrived, they found smoke and flames coming from the roof of the home, according to a fire department spokesman.
Crews worked quickly and were able to bring the blaze under control in about 30 minutes.
Norfolk fire marshals are investigating the fire as arson, but have not released what ignited the fire.
A fire department spokesman told WAVY.com that the roof of the house collapsed during the fire and the structure will have to be condemned.
No one was injured in the fire.
