Man struck by van in serious condition

NORFOLK, va. (WAVY) - A man who was hit by a van Saturday morning is in serious condition according to Norfolk Police.

Police received a call for a pedestrian who had been struck by van around 8:18 a.m. in  the 1800 block of Cape View Avenue, near Bayview Boulevard.

The driver of the van stayed at the scene following the accident, according to a police spokeswoman.

The man was transported to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in serious condition.

No charges have been filed. The accident remains under investigation.
