NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - MacArthur Center in Norfolk is scheduled to reopen in the morning, following an unplanned closure Tuesday afternoon.
The mall closed just before 4 p.m. because a transformer blew, knocking out power. Dominion Virginia Power responded and is in the process of replacing the transformer, according to MacArthur Center spokeswoman Karen Winters.
The parking garages attached to the mall remained fully operational during the outage.
MacArthur Center will open at 10 a.m. Wednesday.
