NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - Norfolk fire officials are investigating a suspicious fire involving a vacant home Tuesday afternoon.

According to Battalion Chief Julian Williamson with Norfolk Fire and Rescue, firefighters were dispatched to the 900 block of Reseclaire Street in the Berkley area for a report of a fire around 10 a.m.

Firefighters arrived to find a vacant home that was boarded up. The home suffered minor to moderate damage contained to the middle of the home, the fire’s origin.

Williamson said officials were investigating the fire as suspicious because the home had no power.

Anyone with information should call Norfolk Fire and Rescue.
