NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - Congress agreed Friday to fund a city-wide flooding study in Norfolk.

City officials will work with the Army Corp of Engineers to identify what causes flooding problems and how to fix them.

“I want to express gratitude to our entire Congressional delegation for their recognition of the unique challenges Norfolk faces mitigating our flooding issues and their support of this study," Norfolk Mayor Paul D. Fraim said.
