Police: Robbery suspect not in home

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - Police say an Ocean View home reportedly housing a robbery suspect was vacant.
According to police spokesman Chris Amos, officers were called to a home in the area of Grove and Ocean View Avenues around 11 a.m. Amos told WAVY.com a suspect who reportedly robbed someone earlier in the day was believed to be inside the home.
Amos said the bomb squad used robots that can look into windows without putting people in danger.
Special Operations entered the home at approximately 4 p.m. and found the house to be empty. E. Ocean Avenue was closed during the incident but is scheduled to reopen by 4:30 p.m. Tuesday.
