NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - A man pled guilty in court Thursday to a 1975 Norfolk murder of a 32-year-old man.

According to Amanda Howie with the Norfolk Commonwealth's Attorney's Office, 58-year-old Joel Joaquin Saenz pleaded guilty to a second degree murder charge and will be sentenced March 15, 2013.

Saenz was arrested last April in California for the August 1975 death of Baldwin.

On Aug. 27, 1975, officers responded to the 9400 block of First View Street in reference to a stabbing victim. There, they found Baldwin suffering from fatal stab wounds.

The murder went unsolved until 2010 when investigators were able to find credible witnesses, according to Norfolk police.
