NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - Two men suffered injuries and two others were taken into police custody following a shooting on Denver Avenue Saturday night.

Police responded to the 4600 block of Denver Ave. around 9 p.m. for reports of a double shooting.

One victim was taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with non life-threatening in juries and the other to Sentara Leigh Hospital with serious injuries, according to police spokeswoman Karen Parker-Chesson.

She said two male victims were standing outside when they were approached by the suspects. The suspects threatened the victims with a handgun, searched them and stole their jewelry..

A scuffle occurred between the suspects and one of the victims. The suspects fired gun shots at the victims, then fled on foot from the area. The two men who were seen running away from the area were caught by police after a foot pursuit that ended on Spruce Street, Parker-Chesson said.

Police identified the suspects as Arsenio R. McCown , 24, of the 300 block of Fort Worth Avenue and Richard L. Foreman, 22, of the 6300 block of Wellington Street.

A third suspect remains at large, and police described him as a male, 6-feet tall, 130 pounds, wearing a black ski mask, black winter coat, dark colored sweatshirt with a hood, and dark pants.

Both male victims remain in the hospital in stable condition.

Police charged McCown and Foreman each with robbery, malicious wounding, discharging a firearm at occupied dwelling, shooting in commission of a felony, use of a firearm in commission of a felony, possession of firearm by convicted felon, attempt to commit non-capital felony, conspiracy to commit a felony, and wearing a mask in public.

Investigators are asking anyone with information about this shooting to call the Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-Up.
