NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - Police found a woman dead inside an apartment in the Huntersville neighborhood early Sunday afternoon.
Norfolk police spokesman Chris Amos said officers responded to a medical call at an apartment complex in the 700 block of Johnson Avenue around noon. Police found a woman inside an apartment and medics pronounced her dead at the scene.
The preliminary investigation reveled the woman died of a homicide, Amos said. Officers detained a person of interest for the apparent domestic-related killing.
Police have filed no charges at this time. Amos said he would release the victim's name once her family was notified.
