Police: Girl, 13, sexually assaulted

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) - A 13-year-old Newport News girl reported that she was sexually assaulted by a suspect in her home.

Alexander Reyes, 48, is accused of the incidents which began in October 2011 and occurred on several other occasions, according to Newport News police spokesperson Holly McPherson.

Police said the victim and the suspect knew each other.

Reyes was charged with indecent liberties with a child under age 15, carnal knowledge of a child, and adultry/fornication with someone forbidden by law to marry.
