NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) - No one was injured in a fire that occurred late Saturday night in Newport News on Mark Twain Drive.
Crews were called to the 100 block of Mark Twain Drive just before midnight for reports of a house a fire. Crews arrived on the scene to find heavy smoke and fire coming from the home.
Firefighters searched the home and no one was found inside.
Crews were able to bring the blaze under control in about 20 minutes, according to a press release from the Newport News Fire Department.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
The fire caused approximately $150,000 in damage to the house.
