NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) - A two-day warrant operation in the City of Newport News yielded 110 arrests, including 38 on felony charges.
Holly McPherson with the Newport News Police Department released the final numbers for the operation Saturday morning.
On Thursday, police made 57 total arrests, with 25 felony warrants served and 55 misdemeanor warrants served. Friday netted 53 more arrests with 13 felony warrants served and 59 misdemeanor warrants served.
Police say the operation has ended but they are anticipating to continue to receive calls for several more days as a result of an ad placed in a local newspaper and the publicity the operation has received.
