NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) - A Hampton man was indicted by a grand jury Monday in connection with a March 2012 double homicide in Newport News.

Brian Thomas Smith was indicted on two counts of murder in the first degree and two counts of use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.

On March 16, police received a call in reference to two people dead in an RV on Dean Ray Court in Newport News at Davis Mobile Home and RV Park. The victims were identified as Katherine Dianne Parker and Eddie Arnold Ezzell.

Smith's motive was determined to be robbery and drug related, according to police.
