CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) - What would you do with $363 million? Someone could find out thanks to the Mega Millions jackpot.
Tuesday night's Mega Millions jackpot is the third largest in its history.
The Virginia Lottery said the last big jackpot was on Jan. 4, 2011 for $380 million.
The manger at Border Station in Chesapeake expects to sell thousands of tickets before the drawing. Since the station is located right on the Virginia, North Carolina state line, people can try their luck in two states.
The store has sold a winner before, but the prize wasn't in the millions. Last month, someone took home a Mega Millions winning ticket for $50,000.
"I did win once on a 50 cent ticket for $50,000. I looked in the newspaper on a Sunday morning, and the numbers matched up," said Priscilla Hersey, who won the lottery eight years ago.
Hersey purchased 10 tickets for tonight's drawing, and while she knows the odds of winning a second time are against her, she's willing to try again.
Border Station clerk Candie Nelson saw a constant flow of traffic on her morning shift.
Your chances of winning? One in 176 million.
