ISLE OF WIGHT COUNTY, Va. (WAVY) - An industrial worker passed away after he sustained injuries while working at a company on the property of International Paper Friday.
According to Isle of Wight County spokesperson Don Robertson, the incident happened at ST Tissue, a company that has an agreement with International Paper and is housed on IP property.
Robertson says the man was working inside of a crane during the accident shortly before 1 p.m. The man was transported to South Hampton Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead shortly following arrival.
