HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) - A 25-year-old Hampton man who was shot and killed Thursday night has been identified by police.
Police say Kurtis Rashad Toombs and another man were sitting inside a 2012 Chevrolet Malibu in the 200 block of South Back River Road when they were shot by an unknown suspect or suspects.
The victims drove themselves to the hospital where Toombs died the next day, according to police.
The second victim, a 23-year-old Hampton man, was treated and released from the hospital.
Police have not released any information regarding the circumstances surrounding the shooting or any information on a possible suspect or suspects.
Investigators are asking anyone with information on the shooting to call the Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.
