HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) - Police have identified the suspect accused of shooting another man at a Hampton restaurant and they are asking for the public's help to find him.

Officers were called to Jack's Family Restaurant in the 1400 block of East Pembroke Avenue at 1 a.m. on Oct. 18.

When they arrived on scene, officers located the victim, a 27-year-old Hampton man. He had been shot in the right buttock region, according to police spokeswoman Cpl. Mary Shackelford. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he was treated for his injury and later released.

Cpl. Shackelford says the investigation revealed the victim and another man got into an argument that led to gunfire.

The suspect has been identified as Dymario Perry, 28, of Newport News. There are warrants on file for one count maiming and one count use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.

Police say the victim and Perry knew each other.
