HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) - Hampton Police are investigating a shooting that left a man with several gunshot wounds Thursday evening.
According to Cpl. Mary Shackelford with the Hampton Police Division, officers received a call around 7 p.m. in reference to shots fired in the park near Darling Stadium in the 4100 block of Victoria Boulevard.
When they arrived, they found a 24-year-old man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Shackelford said the man was shot in the upper and lower torso. He was transported to a local hospital with potential life-threatening injuries and is in stable condition at this time.
