Woman struck in hit and run

HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) - Hampton Police are searching for a driver responsible for hitting a 20-year-old woman and then fleeing Monday evening.

Cpl. Mary Shackelford with the Hampton Police Division told WAVY.com the crash occurred in the 700 block of Lee Street just after 7 p.m.

The victim was transported to a local hospital with possible life-threatening injuries and was in stable condition as of Monday evening.

Shackelford said the female driver was driving a faded black 90s model Ford Mustang and was last seen fleeing the scene eastbound on Lee Street.
