HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) - Hampton fire officials say no one was home when a fire ripped through early Friday morning.
Capt. Jeff Perrera with the Hampton Fire Division said crews were dispatched to the 900 block of Mason Street off of Rip Rap Road at 1:19 a.m. for a report of a fire. Crews arrived on scene to find a home heavily involved in fire.
The cause of the fire was ruled arson.
Crews were able to get the fire under control in about 15 minutes.
