Fire displaces family of eight

HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) - The American Red Cross is helping a family of eight Tuesday night after their home was destroyed.
According to Jennifer Frank with the Red Cross, the family of three adults and five children living in the 500 block of Day Street in Hampton is being assisted with food, clothes and lodging.
Frank said the fire started in the home's back bedroom and the cause is unknown.
