ACCOMACK, Va. (WAVY) - Virginia State police investigators say a fire that burned a storage barn to the ground in Accomack County Saturday evening was intentionally set, bringing the total number of arsons in the Eastern Shore community to 45 since mid-November.
Firefighters were called to the 11100 block of Sand Street in Temperanceville around 7:00 p.m. after receiving reports of a structure fire. No injuries were reported.
A preliminary investigation indicated that the fire was intentionally set, according to a press release from Virginia State police.
A $5000 reward is being offered by State Police for information that leads to the arrest of the person or persons responsible for the rash of arsons that has plagued the Eastern Shore since November.
