YORK COUNTY, Va. (WAVY) - Crews with the Virginia Department of Transportation will close the southbound lanes of the Coleman Bridge for repairs Tuesday and Wednesday.
According to Brooke Grow with VDOT, Tuesday’s closure will begin at 9:30 a.m. and should last about an hour as crews work to repair a damaged traffic control gate.
Wednesday, motorists traveling both northbound and southbound on the Coleman bridge should expect intermittent stops for about 30 minutes while crews perform test operations. The tests should begin at noon and will last until 2 p.m.
Grow told WAVY.com the damage was caused by a crash Monday afternoon.
Motorists should visit www.511virginia.org for more information.
