CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) - A tractor trailer fire forced crews with the Virginia Department of Transportation to shut down two exits along Interstate 664 Wednesday.
Nora Chivers with VDOT told WAVY.com exits 13A and 13B in the northbound lanes of Interstate 664 toward Route 58 west were closed as crews worked the fire, which was off to the side of the road.
A short time later, crews reopened exit 13B to Military Highway and instructed motorists to use that exit in order to gain access to Route 58.
A picture sent in to WAVY.com showed flames engulfing the cab of the truck and black smoke billowing up. Officials have not said if there were any injuries in the fire.
