CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) - Chesapeake Police say there was a school bus accident around 7:40 a.m. June 14 on Bainbridge Boulevard and Mayfield Avenue.

Tom Cupitt with Chesapeake City Schools said the bus was full of children going to Carver Elementary when a vehicle hit the bus in the rear.

Paramedics responded and assessed the situation, but there were no injuries.

The driver of the vehicle was issued a summons for following too close, according to police spokeswoman Kelly O'Sullivan.
