CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) - Chesapeake City Council voted Tuesday evening 7-2 to allow rezoning in the South Norfolk section of the city for a shipping terminal to be built.

The project promises to bring at least 15 jobs and revitalize the area of SoNo. Opponents of the project say it could be bad for the environment because of the chemicals used at the terminal.
