CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) - A child riding a motor scooter was struck by a car in Chesapeake Thursday afternoon.
The emergency call came in to police at 3:45 p.m. and crews were dispatched to the 1100 block of Ohio Street.
The 10-year-old boy was struck and fell off the scooter near the intersection of Decatur Street in South Norfolk according to Officer Sheena D. Evans with Chesapeake Police.
The child was taken to a local hospital, and police say he sustained a possible broken leg and minor abrasions.
