CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) - Chesapeake Animal Services will be temporarily closing for less than two weeks this month while the organization relocates to another building.

The building will close Dec. 12 and the organization's new facility at 2100 S. Military Highway will be open by Dec. 21.

According to the organization, residents may still look for and claim lost pets at the old facility on Cook Boulevard from 7 a.m. until 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. until 5 p.m. Dec. 13-15, Dec. 17-18 and Dec. 20.

Most of the animals housed by the organization will be temporarily relocated to the Virginia Beach SPCA.
