CHESAPEAKE,Va (WAVY) - A car careened out of control just after 1 a.m. Friday morning on the corner of Jolliff Road and Regal Court in Chesapeake.

Waylan Goddin, who lives in a home right by the crash site, said a car missed the curve on Jolliff, hit a power pole and ended up in his yard. He said this wasn't the first time this type of crash has happened close to his home.

Dominion Virginia Power crews were on scene to assess the damage to the pole.

No word on if any charges have been filed.
