CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) - Chesapeake police are asking for the public's help in identifying a third suspect wanted in connection with a church burglary in late January.
Police say the burglary at the Baptist Rock Church on Lake Drummond Causeway occurred sometime between January 23 and January 25. The suspects removed approximately $5,000.00 worth of musical instruments.
Reverend Robert L. Eason told WAVY News 10 he discovered the burglary on the morning of January 27.
Chesapeake police say two suspects have been identified, arrested and charged in the case.
Robert Martin O'Neal, 19, and Jacob Alan Caviness, 18, both from Chesapeake, were charged with one count of Burglary, Grand Larceny, Larceny with Intent to Sell, and Damaged Property. O'Neal pleaded guilty to selling stolen property. The other charges against him were nolle prosequied. Caviness was found guilty on the burglary and larceny charges.
While officials say a third suspect has not been identified, police allege he is seen in surveillance pictures.
The suspect is described as a white male between the ages 18-25. He is 5'5" to 5'9" tall with reddish brown hair. In the surveillance pictures, he is wearing glasses, unshaven, and is attired in a black t-shirt with skull and crossbones and jeans.
